Setup wizard: Try the API

Step 6 of the onboarding wizard — make your first API call to see TenancyEngine in action.

Overview

This step generates a ready-to-run curl command using your organization's real API key and lets you execute it against the live platform API. A successful response confirms your stack is correctly configured.

What the demo call does

The quick-win call lists tenants for your first application:

The command is populated with your actual credentials — copy it into any terminal to run it.

Try it

Click Try it to execute the call directly from the wizard. A successful JSON response triggers a confetti animation and marks the wizard complete.

After completing the wizard

Your organization is fully set up. The onboarding checklist on the dashboard tracks any remaining items (e.g., verifying your email domain, adding a custom domain).
